Didn't you watch the making=of featurettes, or listen to the director's commentaries? He mentions quite a few scenes that were shot, but not finished. He also mentions scenes he would like to do, but I'm talking about the ones he already shot. The featurettes even have little clips of the scenes that were shot, so we know they are there.


You serious? I usually ignore special features, but I'll definitely have to go check that out.

If they do end up including these scenes, they'll probably release some "Ultimate Extended Editions" or something around the time when the Hobbit comes out.

Man, I hope PJ decides to direct the Hobbit and the sequel. It just wouldn't be as good if he was only the producer. :(

Because it will look freakin' sweet! Imagine seeing every single soldier in the battle of the Dagorlad at the beginning of FotR!

I don't think you quite understand the point of HDM. It's not about the extras. Those are simply extra. It's about the high definition! The awesome clarity, seeing every single detail in movies like LotR. It will be so beautiful...

There's a difference between point and appeal. Of course it's the point, but it does not appeal to everyone. It appeals to you, of course, but for a lot of us, there has to be more. That's why the 75% of HDTV owners say DVD is good enough.
