Yeah in terms of presentation, those are pretty opposite of each other. LBP2 may look casual, but it's got more meat and substance than even the heavyweights of this generation, in terms of content and creativity. It's totally hardcore.

I think from the players POV it is overly simplistic, I played some levels of the original that from a creators must have taken some real hard work but the end result for me playing is still a simplistic and unengaging gameplay.

Yeah I guess, taking their Play-Create-Share motto, if you only play then the game will perhaps lose 2/3 of its charm.
