General - Exam Stress - View Post

I honestly hated exams. Except my web design exam (HTML5) I was given an hour to build a fully functional webpage. That was awsome I loved designing the page including links images etc...etc... I aced that exam it was amazing. But my highschool exams sucked.

Here's how I'd do an exam in highschool. Study an hour or two a day till the night before the exam. Then I'd drink tons of Red Bull and caffiene pull an all nighter studying my various exams then take some more caffiene and Red Bull before the exam to keep from falling asleep. Then during the exam I would freak out because I'd know the answer but just can't put it down on paper. Also Math was my worst subject and I barely passed that was hell.

Now University classes were stressful. I'd get assigned 3-4 chapters of the PHP Bible each night. Then I'd also have to build a PHP website that same night. That was just one class (Which I chose to fail and focus in on the other courses). I'd have two chapters or so of my Maya book to read and a chapter or two of my photoshop text book and a chapter or so of my HTML.

Long story short I had so much homework in University that my HTML I usually skipped reading I'd just read the highlights and I'd do the rest by listening in class. (Worked out great I got an A), PhotoShop was a breeze because the book was mostly images and not that much reading. Then Maya was good because I loved doing 3D animation. But PHP I just couldn't get my head around it and shortly after the course began I decided it was either try like hell to pass PHP and suffer lower grades in my other classes, or sacrafice PHP for the good of my GPA.
