I think one reason is Nomura wanted to focus on one system to make the game the best it could be. Another may be all the backlash they received after FF13 went mulit-plat. no not really...somebody already said this...this is a conference in Japan...if they announce it there some swords would be flying all around that room...if they want announce Xbox360 multiplat E3 is the perfect place for it...like with FF XIII...
