Its not pointless at all...If you've actually seen the movie, you'd understand that these cops were so badass, they survived just about any mission. It got to the point where they pretty much thought they could survive anything, and tried that jump. It makes perfect sense, actually. Also, this is probably the best comedy movie of 2010.

Is that scene at the end of the movie?

These characters are introduced and killed off within the first 10 minutes. Also the best comedy in my book goes to Due Date. 

I completely disagree. Due date had too many moments that were just out there to shock you, like the dog masturbating for example and it reminded me a lot of the hangover. The hangover was great the first time but the second time it was very average because i had gotten over all of the shocks. Also the actor starring opposite Robert Downey seems to be stuck in character.
