Threads like these show true colors.
1) This is a hack. From one guy. Proof of concept. Nitpicking it is just pointless and ridiculous.
2) He was doing all of this WITH ONE HAND. Add the other hand (most of us have two), headtracking and voice, functionality can be increased significantly. He was just showing how much you could with just one hand.
3) Remember when it was said that FPS's and RTS's could never be done right on a console? And how, still to this day, some people still feel that way? This'll be no different.
Personally I'd imagine that developers have already put Kinect through a ton of paces and learned a lot about what works and what doesn't, things these hackers are showing us now. The may learn some things from these hackers too. In the end, though, we have not seen or heard much of anything about 2nd generation Kinect titles outside of PR excitement from several MS employees. Each of these Kinect hacks, though, should give us cause for enthusiasm.
