Wow. Very good news. Glad to valve supporting so many platforms like it does. To bad the 360 version won't have this plus. I wonder how many games will get cross pc/ps3/steam support now. Probably only valve games in the begining but if it works out for valve/sony I don't see why more won't go that route. Now the next step, buy one version of a game, get it on your pc/ps3/360/wii/cell phone, that'll be the day

Well, its a step in the right direction for sure, obviously cross platform (ninty, msft, sony) is out of the question.

This is a great step forward because it involves two highly influential companies doing this in a digital and retail space. I know im jumping the gun here but if Sony can really focus on this implementation via the PSN then this would be one of the most revolutionary things for the industry going into next gen.

To be able to buy, digitally or physically, a game and enjoy it from my couch via a PS3, on my laptop, and on my PC for one price with the safety and ease of cloud storage this precedent is much bigger i think than people are realizing because this would give the PSN a distinct presence that, at this point, cannot be done on any of the competing consoles due to architecture and policy.
