Man I remember watching a movie called Raising the Mammoth on Discovery Channel when I was in my mid teens. That show said they planned to bring back the Mammoth within 5-7 years. Well that would mean about now and their is no mammoth. I guess their project must have failed or been shut down.
Honestly what will they do with these Mammoth's? Elephants themselves are going extinct. I would love to see Mammoths bread for zoo's and attractions around the world. It would also be cool to release some in Northern Canada and Russia and see them live wild again. But in all honesty I think we should be doing more to protect existing species rather then bringing back a long extinct one.
