tbh I'm really not sure. Sony is in a tough position, if they don't go 3D, any technical advantages it has over the 3DS won't be seen that way as it doesn't have glasses-less 3d. However, if they do go 3D, it will severely increase the cost, unless they reduce the specs of the platform, neither of which Sony preferable want to do.
