So I went against what I promised myself years ago, and I decided to buy another Sony Online Entertainment MMO game (after being severely disappointed with several previous games) and I picked up DC Universe Online. Now, I’ve only played for a couple hours so I can’t give much of a review, but it plays very well; and its greatest strength (in my opinion) is that it doesn’t remind me of WoW (or any other fantasy RPG). With that said, the biggest flaw with this game is that SOE’s server reliability and customer service appears to be as poor as ever; and I would suggest holding off buying the game for (at least) a couple of weeks to see whether these problems are just typical MMO launch issues, or whether SOE really doesn’t get it.
