Of course they could have a better battery life. It just depends on how much energy their compnents use and what capacity battery they put in it. That's if Sony takes the time to actually address that issue. And I never said the PSP2 would have a lower price. I said match the price, or only be $50 more expensive.
Actually that's exactly how it works. "This is a second LCD screen that sits over the main viewing panel that creates a series of fine lines across the screen that allows the user to see a different set of pixels, creating the appearance of a 3D view." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10323971 Now, TV's that use this technology are barely moved around, but the 3DS is going to be carried around and beat up inside of bags quite often. I'm just concerned about this issue the most and I haven't been able to find much about their durability.
This aspect we really don't know the affect of, since the PSP2 will be the first handheld to release with 2 analogs, so it could go either way. I know it won't be the biggest draw, but it could make a difference to those who want an experience closer what they get at home on the go.

It's just highly unlikely that anyone could build a handheld with that kind of efficiency.
Alright, I see. But if there were any justified doubts regarding the durability of such a 3D screen, then those concerns would have been raised by now and well known, because there always are some people who look for every little negative thing.
Fair enough.

It still could be done, though.
That's the thing, though. Even the application of this tech in TV is new, so I don't know if we even have any info on the durability of these screens. At least, I haven't been able to find anything. Even if we did, it can't be really applied to the 3DS, which going to be jostled around in people's pockets and backpacks/bags. This may end up being uneeded worry on my part, but I'll just have to wait and see how things play out.
