Keeping an opened mind, some day we might experience that "Star Trek holodeck" gaming.  But also keeping and opened mind, not everyone will want to play a Mario platformer by literally running and jumping.  Some people actually prefer to RELAX on a couch and press button.  For me this especially happens after running five miles.  The closest thing I can realistically compare to a "Star Trek holodeck" gaming experience is something such as Lazer Tag.  But guess what?  You need something called a "gun" and a lot of space.  Hmmm...  The Kinect tech is good tech.  When the "Star Trek holodeck" gaming experience can be realized, it will have to employ good tech as well.  And keeping an opened mind keeps me seeing reality.  There are great applications to Kinect alone, and I can see great applications to the "Star Trek holodeck" experience as well by itself.  And both can be enhanced with a little help such as a physical "controller" to cater and expand to other preferences and experiences.  Keeping and opened mind that is.

I see underlined and realize that you're just not able to see beyond gaming as it is today.  Playstation Move is for you, then.  Kinect isn't.  That's that.
