So does anyone really know if this problem can be potentially fixed via firmware updates etc? I know they say it would require new hardware (aka bring out the PS4) or they could start looking into fixes for future models of the PS3. But is anyone confident that Sony will get this problem under control? It's a shame this had to happen to such a great console. As long as this problem doesn't affect my system, account, or my online experience, then i'm fine.
Here's hoping Sony comes up with a quick fix soon :( it's a shame this had to happen though, seriously. Especially with the release of DCUO, and future releases of UC3, KZ3, R3, and other great titles.. I don't want to see these games get plagued by hackers due to someone feeling the need to expose the systems security code.
