You can't save it in the pits nor during mid/race. I had to leave it on all night long while I went to sleep.
The Suzuka 1000 Km endurance is pretty fun, especially if you do it in a JGTC car as well. I bought a Xanavi Nismo for that endurance, even though I had the GT500 Nismo Stealth collector's edition car, which was too overpowered in relation to the A.Is JGTC cars.
After I'm finished with Le Mans 24H, i'm going to use that endurance to grind the Exp needed to get to level 40. It's going to take me 28 races to get 18M exp 
That's the beauty of having a X2010 though xD.
