Software Piracy rates are huge in some countries, upwards of over 80%. Even countries in Eurpoe like Spain have huge amounts of piracy. Piracy is a problem, and it most definitely is not a small problem that if you act like it is small, it might become that way.

There are games like Sins of a Solar Empire that have no DRM at all... they sell just fine.  Heck some dev (i forgot which) actually put their own game on the pirate bay... for promotional purposes.

what I mean is sure piracy is bad... but it's not the doom of gaming. Devs need to learn how to use it to their advantage. it's a factor that is here to stay anyways.
