Actually, you sound more like a bro poser, to be honest.

@NotStan: That guy speaks the truth. However, I think he's wrong when he says you have to act the way others do to get along with them.

You can be yourself, but you have to also have a strong personality, and know how to keep the bullies/frats at bay. If you show weakness or don't exactly manage to nail their general line of thinking (which is inadvisable, as that's not being yourself), they'll just take advantage of you (though generally this is also their way of "toughening you up").

I, thankfully, was never a part of this subculture crap.

To be honest, if I think that people are tools I'd just stay away from them and be friends with those that I can relate to, like I do in real life now. The A level at my school is divided into tools and jerks who only come to school to get EMA, and my friend group, who don't really give two shits what anyone think and just always be ourselves in front of each other and the crowds, constant "ethnic banter" and just general fun times.

But to be honest, I did witness someone acting totally unlike them just to totally fit into the crowd, he happened to be one of my friends, we're not friends anymore as he turned into a complete and total douchebag, as is the norm during the teenage life. I can't comment on the college life in America but I can imagine it's alot tougher than in England with the fraternities and what not, showing weakness there is just asking for trouble I agree, but in England, people are a bit more tolerable and there are no official "clubs" or fraternities of sort, just friend groups.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
