I just queue up from Xbox.com or via Xbox Live. I never understood the point of buying a code from a store. A Points card, maybe.
As for the spam that Twesterm mentioned--I let some stranger become my friend on Xbox Live. Every time I turned around, he was sending me messages about deals, getting free MS Points, and joining tournaments. I eventually had to block communication. I bet Gamestop would have some similar process--telling us about deals on sequels to games that we've played or something. I just don't like the idea of ANYBODY having access to my account except me.
