Well, since it has Android running on it, it will be able to run emulators. Just curious, how do you feel about Atari and Sega roms? Just asking cause you only seemed concerned about it playing Nintendo games. |
I myself hate pirates. They are responsable for the demise of several companies or were at least contributing factors. I was somewhat friends with Acclaims President back when I was media. He told me several times that his companies games were mass pirated and that the publisher couldn't push software sales up. Atari is another great example their software is being pirated and the company has been on the verge of bankrupcy for years.
P.C gaming is my biggest piece of evidence. Their are far more PC owners around the world then their are console owners. Most PC owners I know play some sort of games on the PC's but they are rarely legal copies. Piracy is killing tons of PC developers and leading to less and less PC content.
I have never modified a console to play pirated games and other then Mother 3 (EarthBound 2) I have not pirated a game I did not own a copy of. I also volunteered to help Nintendo and Microsoft shut down websites that were leaking roms. I had at least 5 or 6 sites shut down by Nintendo's legal department and Microsoft shut down one or two. Nintendo actually started giving me info on online users leaking roms and I helped them investigate and arrest at least one individual I know of.
So as you can see I absolutely hate pirates. I don't carry what content they are pirating or which studio or publisher they are stealing from. I may not like all the software companies but piracy is wrong and I don't think anyone can justify stealing from any publisher.
Whether it be Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo , Sega , Atari or any other publisher or studio I hate all pirates! As such a game device that allows people to play and run pirated software knowingly and without any effort to curb or stop such piracy is not a device I really endorse. I was so happy when Sony updated the PSP to prevent people from running emulators and roms. I was happy when the PS3 was updated to block that USB device. I am happy every time Sony, MS and Nintendo do something to further protect developers and publishers. But I am extremely saddened when they do otherwise and create a device where consumers can steal from the studios and publishers working so hard to give us great content.
