Well you know it's  not just Canada with Mark Twain. (depending what it looks like there.)  Some publishing company is publising a new edition without the word nigger.   Replacing it with Slave.

Not banning or anything like the case about.. but dumb.

That is a lone publisher taking an out-of-copyright work and changing it because they want to do so.

Is it dumb? Yes, incredibly, if only because they're not bright enough to realize that Twain was using the word to push a social message, not because of any kind of in-built racism. His decision was very, very intentional.

Still, that's a far cry from a country banning a song from radio.
