Um, I don't know who was clamoring for that, but they obvously forgot that having a hardware generation skipped with the first PSP was not ideal.

And will it be cost efficient? If all those specs are not at a reasonable level, then the system will cost even more than the 3DS and/or Sony will have to sell it at a loss. And that's not even getting into the battery life.

As for my own feelings, I'd rather see about the games than the specs (for example, hearing about a new Paper Mario and Kingdom Hears on the 3DS interested me far more than the specs for that system). Actually, there is one spec I would like to know, which is if it at least has backwards compatibility, including a legacy UMD drive (even if it uses a different medium for its own games).



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
