PlayStation fans care more about good hardware than its sales

Since ps1 and ps2 were inferior hardware wise, had a higher failure rate than thier competition and still finish first first in each gen. While the ps3 is a beautiful reliable powerful machane and is in third. Logic would dictate playstation fans don't like good hardware.
