As for my advice: Tell her to make you a sandwich. If the sandwich is damn good, you should consider keeping her. If it's not, you should evaluate her dishwashing skills instead. In any case, be sure that she knows her place.
If she lacks those qualities, and she insists on beating you up, show her the good ol' backhand. Never fails.
