It'd be interesting to know how old that graph picture is going from 1998 to 2010, and wheter it actually covers 2010 itself, i should imagine if Microsoft didn't spring above the loss/profit line for the year ending 2010, that they certainly will have at the end of 2011.

That graph is updated up to April last year. You can get the new data from MS, Sony and Nintendo investor relations pages.

Sony since then:

Q4 FY09 (January to March 2010) : -7 Bn yen: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/viewer/09q4/slide/image/19_image.jpg

Q1 FY10 (April to June 2010): -3.8 Bn yen: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/viewer/10q1/slide/image/05_image.jpg

Q2 FY10 (July to Sept 2010): 6.9 Bn yen: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/viewer/10q2/slide/image/05_image.jpg

Total since the end of the graph: -3.9 Billion yen, with an exchange rate of ~85 yen/USD, we have a net loss of ~45 million dollars. It's a tiny amount for Sony, but they kept losing money since then.
