It doesn't seem Sony networking division is making too much money since the PS3 project began.

Doesn;t look like Microsoft should even be in the video game business at all based on those loses.

It depends. Maybe MS is doing so so Sony doesn't erode their OS business.

Sony only makes the XMB os, which really is a better OS then Windows in most cases. Hence why their TVs, Blu-ray players, and computers have it installed. Its just that the PCs also have Windows on them.

But I'm meaning in a financial standpoint. How is Microsoft's shareholders allowing suck loses. Not even just the Xbox, Zune and other projects are all basically failures. WP7 is the only thing thats giving revenue and thats because it falls back on the base thing the Microsoft does which is Operating Systems.

Think again. If Sony owns the living room, they can kick MS out of it. It could mean less windows installed in pcs, if the PS3 provides almost the same functionality than a standalone PC. MS lives and dies by the Windows and Office sales, XBox division is only a trojan horse to destroy Sony's attempts to control the living room. They don't care Nintendo, Nintendo isn't going to create a strong multimedia experience, they create consoles to play games. I'm sure that if Nintendo controled the PS generation, MS wouldn't have created the XBox brand.
