You guys have a very valid point, I agree with that, but still you can't generalize that Sony fans care more for the experience than for the company, with posts like this one:
Regardless how tempting it may be to have custom firmware etc, I will not due that to my PS3 as I have to much respect for Sony, and i'm really against it anyways.
And there are more on the likes. I don't think having too much respect for a company translates into caring more for the experience than for the company.

Well, this IS a sales web site. You'll find lots of posts like that here, but in general, i think your averige PS3 owner cares much more about PS3 nad its quality than its sales.

I disagree if we're talking relative to other consoles. (Most console owners don't care about sales at all.) There are more PS3 owners on here than there are Nintendo or MS users (combined?) on here. Obviously, this is a miniscule sample, but going just bz this, that happening when there are significantly fewer people in the PS3 users than Nintendo or MS in general probably suggests that a higher proportion of PS3 owners care about sales than others.
