Unbelievable. What a pack of ghouls. I feel sick to my stomach watching this spectacle play itself out, and sicker still to know that in a year or two I'll likely remember the revolting display of political opportunism that followed the shooting more than I will the incident itself.

Are you serious, dude? It's a political attack, nothing more. The whole thing is "right-wing this" and "right-wing that", but his uncle was killed by a communist whose name he amazingly manages to omit entirely.

All the hateful right-wing rhetoric that supposedly existed then and exists now only ever seems to inspire non-right-wingers to act violently. It's amazing how that works... almost like these murderers have their own motivations which are entirely unrelated to the national political discourse!

Killed by a communist so crazy even the Soviet Union didn't want anything to do with him, i agree. In neither case is the violence directly attributable to hate-speech (it is to a point, but insanity is by nature unforeseeable in how it might be prompted to action), but in both cases they came in a time when such speech arrives to dominate political discourse. A reason to reflect, if poorly ascribed, is still a good thing. Fox News correspondents have apparently been told to tone it down, so there's a start
