BrainBox, do you have any idea what pacing is? Did you play the game on easy? Did you bother to up the difficulty? Were you playing 4 player co-op?

I did it on Heroic with a friend. Then later on Legendary. You'll be locked in a room with twelve brutes at one point, then slaughtering halls of wimps the next. You'll have to face a tank guarded by turrets and choppers in one chapter, and be nuking every moving thing with your own tank in another.

The difficulty spikes and slopes in Halo 3 are absurd and constant. Every instance is usually a different battle difficulty wise and they're not arranged in particular fashion to create any sort of build to anything else.

So you want consistancy and know exactly whats in the next room? Wheres the fun in that?

Difficulty spikes are fine, and its your actions that determine that, some people might have trouble with flood while i see them as cakewalk, while i have major issues with brutes sometimes and others ease with it.

Also with all the skulls turned on theres not much more of a difficult game

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
