I doubt though that Microsoft EDD is going to post particularly brilliant numbers come Jan 27th or whenever due to the level of investment in the platform and the payback time being in the 12-24 month range considering how little they get for every one phone sold. Anyway im definately looking forwards to multi-tasking, though the task switching is really good and a little speed up because sometimes for whatever reason my phone seems to stall randomly coming out of hibernation. They definately followed the idea that time to market with a good enough device was better than waiting to make it 'perfect'. Both Kinect and WP7 as EDD devices followed this perfectly, Kinect too has a large spring update as well. Oh I should mention that Windows Phone 7 is coming to Verizon early in 2011 so that should coincide with the update you speak of. Lastly, BING maps doesn't work for me. Damnit why can't they roll the whole feature set out of the U.S. so thats what im really looking forward to with the update. |
