Some of you might have heard about the PC game called Amnesia:Dark Descent, a horror game that came out last year and is being considered one of the best in the genre.

Well, it turns out sales have been far better than what the developers, Frictional Games, were expecting, and this has saved them from bankruptcy.

There´s a message from the team on this page:http://frictionalgames.blogspot.com/2011/01/four-months-after-amnesias-release.html

It´s a bit of a long read, but really interesting for people on VGChartz, since it´s a sales site.

But an important part is this, straight from the devs:

As for our plans to focus on consoles, as hinted above, this is something we are reconsidering. If online sales figures continue like they have with Amnesia, there is actually not any reason for us to release to anything but PC. Still, it would be foolish not to try consoles out and our current idea is to work together with a third party to do a port. This would mean that we can still can keep a small staff and not risk growing beyond our capabilities.
