Indie Games have demos, so you guys can try the demo before buying. Basically what you see in the first few minutes of combat is how the rest of the game goes. It's about 10-15 hours depending on how much grinding/side questing you do. Breath of Death VII only took me five hours to beat, so It's 3x the length for 3x the price.
It's just that simple.
