TF2 is an extreme, I understand. I like the art direction because it's like opening a window on a sunny day in a dark hallway of diry glass. There are military shooteres everywhere and TF2 was going to be yet another one when the first details were released (but was later scrapped leading it's future bleak at the time). I'm really glad that Valve has done what they did with TF2 and I find it to be an enjoyable experience and a pretty damn funny one as well (the demo man crotch taunt is one of my favorites).
