PS Move and WiiMote Plus are the best wands, Kinect is the best hands-free camera, but none of them can do everything, all three of the competitors will need to complete their motion control setup on next gen consoles, because 3rd parties will pretend some uniformity to be able to make multiplats without having to do major rewritings of single versions control scheme or even gameplay, so MS will need a wand to add to Kinect, Sony will have to add depth and IR detection to PS Eye and Ninty will have to make its own camera with Kinect features, as Balance Board is perfect for some things but it lacks some Kinect capabilities.
MS won't have problems, by next gen wands and their programming and use in games will be totally mainstream, OTOH also Sony and Ninty will be able to catch-up on cameras quite easily, as Sony already did more than half of the necessary work on it, and anyway, as MS chose to save money putting more of Kinect computing effort on console's processor and using a camera sensor with lower res than early PrimeSense prototypes, Kinect is currently limited in res, lag and number of simultaneous players, only from next gen Kinect's full potential will be able to be exploited, so even Nintendo will have a smaller gap to fill. Obviously Ninty will save a lot of money as usual, as MS kindly supported the most expensive early efforts to launch the tech in the mainstream. Quite obviously, though, MS will keep for some time a lead in 1st party hands-free games and Ninty on wand oriented ones, while Sony will enjoy a decent trade-off and a lead in the hardcore precision wand niche.
