A shitty franchise which is the reason your most hyped game is even going to exists ^^ FF is not shitty. Its far from selling badly. And anyone who cant appreciated the things the final fantasy does well cant call themselves a jrpg fan ^^

After FF9 I have found every mainline Final Fantasy to be mediocre (10, 13), crap (11, 12) or absolute shit (14). So yes the franchise is shitty for me and I don't know why it still sells. I just hope it dies quickly and gives good games (atlus JRPG's, The Last Story) a chance to shine instead of hogging all the limelight everywhere. The Last Story will put Final Fantasy to shame now.

Theres a whole thread we've had about the possible collapse of the FF brand. and based on those responses, its possible that FF could be in massive decay after FF13. based on the sales alone, FF13 is the worst selling in Japan of the main series since before FF5. that is a series in decline imho.
here in the west things are a bit more optimistic, but the European sales of even the mainline installments tend to be irriatic and unreliable. we waited ages for FF13, and even longer for FF12 before that.
although this conference is mainly for the 1st production team, i dont have much interest in it, but i'm hoping that FF15 is secretly in production with the 2nd production team, which is the main reason i'm interested in this conference, so hopefully there is a small hint to that and the series can be salvaged with them.

But its just annoying that robot is trying to say that he hopes versus fails to the series can die. Shorley it would be better for versus 13 to be an incredible game?

I agree with his sentiments about FF10-13. Maybe it would be better for a Final Fantasy game to fail. Perhaps that would stop S-E trying to globalise the franchise according to how they see the world i.e some guy looking on wikipedia about what western gamers like, and instead keep the "J" in Jrpg.
