Where do you stand politically?

I've heard lots of leftist Americans arguing between the points of "We must vote for the least evil candidate!" and "We must vote for the candidate closest to our views, even if he has no chance of winning!".

Can't honestly say I have any idea of what I'd do in the same situation. =/
