Whatever, it's not like I didn't make my share of excuses when I defended the Gamecube last generation.
The problem with the PSP is its limited game library. That's not to say it doesn't have good games, but I'll be damned if the average joe knows more than a handful of titles worth purchasing for it, if any at all. The console gets barely any exposure outside of a few featured games on a couple of commercials. I think a more plausable explanation would be that people are simply buying it for its secondary free media and online features which make it ideal for those very reasons.
Of course I can easily see how the explanation (Piracy) where its assumed people actually want the PSP for its games is more appealing to Sony supporters. |
Geez. The PS3 already sells more software than the PSP, so it's clear that whatever the reason for PSP software sales being low (and it is piracy and multimedia features other than games driving sales, and lately lack of new titles), the PS3 is going to do better. Also, you say that Bioshock and CoD4 could be done last gen but that is simply not true. The atmosphere is absolutely needed for both and that is done far better with updated graphics. Believe it or not, people are having a hell of a lot of fun playing PS3 games these days, too. |
Of course no one is suggesting the PS3 will ever get as bad as the PSP, but time does make a fool of us all.
Also, where exactly did I say anything about Bioshock or CoD4? Are you sure you're responding to the right person?
