With rumors of the PSP2 being as they are, i would doubt Sony's capability to undercut Nintendo on any of those factors (unless they want to bleed seriously on each PSP2 sold, and i don't think Kaz has the stomach to sell those kinds of numbers to the higher-ups again)
Plus we're estimating based on Japanese prices. Despite the weaker dollar, Nintendo has incentive to at least try to keep prices lower overseas, just because there's still a bias against handhelds here as far as value goes.
Finally it's been deduced that the quoted battery life is an optimum scenario. Nintendo themselves claim DSi's battery life at 4-5 hours, which is clearly not the case
