I know, which is why Matsuno will never touch the series again (unless it's another FF Tactics) and therefore doom the series to mediocrity that sycophantic critics will use kid gloves on. But so be it, he has better things to do than deal with executive meddling and bass-ackwards man-children still endlessly regurgitating the faux-FFVII bs they have been since 1997.

I actully read an interview for Tactics Ogre recently and it appears that getting the remake (reimagining) together was difficult because Matsuno is currently working on another game for another company. i'm thinking this might be Madworld 2. if it turns out hes working on Fortress then i'm willing to support that product.

yeah i'm sure FF12 would've been an excellent game had Sakaguchi still been with Sqaure, he gave his blessing to Matsuno and the production team, and they wouldve produced something extraordinary. but for me its time to move onto other JRPGs, like Tactics Ogre. i'm sure Matsuno and the FF Tactics team will be back and working on a new game, just not FF. which isnt a big problem for me, because they will make their games, their way, without being forced into 'faux-FF7' development cycle.
