You keep spreading this lie. Please stop. That article was for unique users, not controllers sold. There are not 2.9 controllers on shelves.

Also, that 4.1 mil figure was for the end of Nov '10, so I'm guessing it has shipped quite a bit more for the holidays in Dec.  And the unique number article is old as well, so the number has gone up since then.  Not to mention it's only an estimate, so may not be accurate.
