British game.

i.e. not Japanese.

I doubt that's the reason.

- Donkey Kong games (link).
- The PS1 Crash games managed to sell very, very well (link).
- Ratchet & Clank (PS2) sold over 500k in Japan. (link).
- Banjo-Kazooie (N64) sold well, too. (link).

Donkey Kong is a brand from japan, isnt it? (invented by ninty n stuff..) and all those Mothers and fathers buying it for the childs simply dont know which studio did dev it.

And else.. youre listing 3 franchises. out of thousands. strange, ey :> ?

many japanese people simply do care mostly more about their own stuff (thats what many are saying themselfes).. its not because theyre strong racists, its because they are just used to care mostly 'bout things that come from their own country...

.. or they simply hate games that arent asian enough. and if so, hopefully it stays like that , because they guarantee that the little group of hardore Roleplayers here have their gaems instead of ten thousand Call of duties :> (even if it is a bit sad for our beloved sackboy.. but well.)

But isn't the best selling Donkey Kong games made by Rare?

Sure, Japan support their products, just like how any country would support their products. But I'm still not convinced that the Japanese people didn't buy LittleBigPlanet because it's not made in Japan...

Besides, isn't 170k considered good in Japan?
