To me FF has always been about quality RPG. It doesn't matter if they change the gameplay as long as it's good. I've never understood some people's FFXII hate. It was a great game with great graphics, awesome score by Hitoshi Sakimoto and fun exploration. Battle system was great too. Instead of doing everything manually, I could program my characters to act according to my wishes. It's not like the gambits solved every problem for you(like som like to claim). The player was still the brain. You just didn't have to do everything manually like a f'kkin labour. Grinding became much comfortable and the random battles were gone so you could choose your battles to some extent. People should try to be a little more opened minded and stop dissing every FF that isn't like their favorite one.
