Take the hard drive out of the PS3. Its easy. Remove cover, take the one screw out. Slide the little lever and out pops the harddrive. Compare the two harddrives if the connectors look the same your good to go.. If the one out of your Harddrive has a large 80 pin connector your out of luck. If they match put the new harddrive in and power up the system. The PS3 will prompt you to format. Easy. If for some reason it doesnt work. Put the PS3 hardrive back in...
