- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Ontop of being a really good game, the controls are perfect. I actually really don't like console FPS but I loved this game. The controls just felt so natural and made me really like this game. I could never get into MP and MP2 but the controls let me get into this game.
- Bioshock - I love this game. Love love love. Sad is though I don't love it because it's a good FPS (because it really isn't that good), I loved it for the storytelling and atmosphere.
- Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition - Technically it's against the rules since it's not a FPS but it's still a shooter and it's still excellent. This is another game that just nailed the controls and it's interesting because you can compare it directly against duel analog and mouse/keyboard and this is by far the best version.
- Gears of War - Just like RE4, even though it isn't a FPS I still lump it with all the shooters. This is another game that controlled really well and the cover mechanic just made the game so gosh durn fun.
- Goldeneye 007 - Before Halo there was Goldeneye. Excellent design, excellent multiplayer, and good controls just made this a legendary game.
- Halo: Combat Evolved - This game did wonders for the console FPS. It brought in a few health system, and controlled very well, and it was just so accessible. No top FPS list is complete without this game.
- Call of Duty 4 - While I still haven't finished this one, I love how cinematic it is and how it keeps all the encounters fresh even though you're really just doing the same thing over and over again.
