Yep , it seams that HD-DVD owners will never see high-def orcs or goblins ... why , because New Line had decided to go Blu-ray exclusive , just like its owner , Warner . This wasnt unexpected , but still , its a great news . It seams that the HD war could be over in matter of months .

Oh, no! Please say it isn't true??? HD-DVD owners will never be allowed to buy a Blu-ray player??

Maybe I'm missing something, but how does New Line releasing Blu-Ray titles mean HD-DVD owners will never be allowed to buy a blu-ray player?

He cant read the bolded part ... thats all ...

No, I can read the bolded part.  It says HD-DVD owners will never see high-def orcs or goblins, which is rediculous because there isn't any law that says HD-DVD owners can't also be Blu-ray owners.

I understood the implication was that the Lord of the Rings movies would never be on HD-DVD, but I responded this way because the statement in question was just a cheap shot.  There wasn't any reason to rub the fact that New-Line was going Blu-ray-only into the faces of those who have invested in HD-DVD.  Yes, HD-DVD appears to be on it's way out.  Yes, Blu-ray appears to be winning not only in sales month-after-month, but in studio support as well.  I certainly hope you never own a technology that gets orphaned... someone might rub that in your face. :-/
