By claiming that it's got 500M budget in marketing.

You do realize that it has to be a product that people want in the first place?

Marketing help spread the awareness telling the (casual) people that such a device exist and they may be interested.

Yes, marketing helps, but that's not all the product has. It's an interesting device and there are already so many homebrew for Kinect already.

Are you butthurt by Kinect because it's selling more than your system of choice?

''By claiming that it's got 500M budget in marketing''

That is an insane amount of money to spend on something that isn't giving us the gaming experiences we were dreaming about when we heard of it.

''You do realize that it has to be a product that people want in the first place?''

No way. We are all being brainwashed all the time in different ways.'

''Are you butthurt by Kinect because it's selling more than your system of choice?''

Nay, I am but hurt (see what I did there?) because so much money has been poured into a gaming device that still doesn't have anything close to a killer ap. And then every Tom, Dick and Harry believes he needs to own the thing because the Wii is so last year.

People who get pissed off at a rival console's sale figures are pretty sad.

People who are rejoicing because Microsoft are making money on something which isn't that cool are losers.
