Eh, Uncharted 2 felt much too linear. I wouldn't mind a little more freedom. Great game, but didn't really feel the desire to play through a 3rd time.
Wouldn't get too excited about this article - we're talking a desert here. Think Fallout 3 for example: though it's a massive open-world, it consists of pretty much nothing besides destroyed buildings and rubble.
