From what I heard, they had similar patches with the PSP and it was only a couple days/weeks before hackers got around it ...

no it takes too long to download the ps3 games unless you have a super fast connection, to be honest it's easier to rent and copy the games to your hdd
on topic, soon we all shall be able to play pirated games thanks to the idiots who found out sonys secret ECDSA code.... great i hate to imagine the kinds of evilness running on our ps3's stealing our details

people think there cool for pirating games... they dont seem to understand that there damaging the developers. who wont bother making games for the system in the end... hello PSP

On one hand, I would agree with you, but the people I know who pirate games weren't going to buy the games in the first place. The games they do buy are the ones that they truly do love and want to have in their collection. With all of the games that continue to be pumped out, I really don't think that many games are being cancelled due to being worried about it being pirated. If they do, it probably was only going to be a renter game for a majority of people anyways.
