The length of the game isn't what it really seems, enemies have more health than in most games of the type so take longer to kill, take away the cutscenes and overly long intros to many the levels and there isn't much to it, I've been speed running my hardest playhtrough and I've burned through chapters 1-8 on hardest faster than I did chapters 1-4 on normal.  I've been meeting trial requirements for all but 3 levels on hardest too which should be slowing me down.  Lasting 20 hours even first time I find hard to believe.

I think replay value it more important anyway, a 10 hour game I want to play 3-4 times is better than a 20 hour once (my second playthrough is purely for trophies which I do not count as real replay value either).

Again: enemies die faster through a combination of item usage and your strong combos. You will notice a difference, to the point that they don't take longer to kill than in any other major action title this year.
