How is gun ownership and legalizing mind/chemical/physiologicaly altering substances even realted, let alone hypocritical?

The relationship is freedom. Why should the government determine what I put in my body, let alone my hand.....if it doesn't hurt anyone.

 

I agree you have a point here. This boils down to "what is the role of government in a individuals life?" There are as many answers to that as there are people in the world. And honestly, I don't know.

I personally believe that U.S drug laws are not doing a very good job. Most studies I have read agree that treatment vs. manditory minimun sentences are a better solution to the drug problem in the U.S.

However this is really off topic so if you want to start a thread I would love to explore this idea more.
