Disagree. In my mind the only thing keeping it off DS in the first place was that DS was significantly weaker than the PS2. With 3DS being stronger than PS2 and likely in the ballpark of all existing Monster Hunter games, meaning asset sharing ahoy, there's no reason to keep it off the 3DS, which will be bought in droves in Japan either way, will likely be bought more in the West, where Nintendo has proven to be an apt partner
Hell, i'd say its likely that Monster Hunter 4 straight-up will go to the 3DS, and the portable and home console franchises become one.
