m$ and kinect dont need something like the crappy move type of controller add-on for it , i have enjoyed kinect very much since i bought it for me and my family. cant stop playing it, and i believe m$ knows how to make its core games work without a need for a add-on ( move controller ) to get the depth and movement u speak of. also m$/kinect has proven sony so wrong on which tech it should have backed with sales speaking very loudly this holiday and i know will continue strong into 2011.

Actually, MS hasn't proven Sony wrong at all. They just proved the power of simplicity can win over the masses. Thats about it. Kinect is a media hub as well as a casual gaming experience. This is its true power. I've read reviews and played Kinect in the mall at Macy's. Most reviews of Kinect's titles show massive restriction but moderately high replay value already. You and your partner are scanned into the camera and fixed into a box in which you're restricted to have your motions read. I know Kinect will outsell the Move, this isn't my problem. My problem is that I see no growth. If it was capable of growth Sony would've had it by now.

So from your op and the bolded I'm getting:
Sony said it wasn't cool, and since they aren't doing it, it really isn't cool, so obviously it's not cool!
Yep, you got it all figured out.

No. I'm stating what Microsoft must not have enough R&D time because Sony was studying what was cost effective and would give people the most for their money. I only used Sony as a point of reference because they used the tech and yes they wrote it off for good reason. They're after a broader audience than Microsoft seems to be after. I'm not one of those guys who agrees with a company just because they are supposedly special to me. I have no loyalty to companies.

The underlying assumption is clear, you've said it multiple times now: Sony said it couldn't reach a larger audience, and you have accepted that as fact. This is the basis of your entire argument.
Broken into it's simplest components I stand by my comment; you have accepted Sony's assessment of the tech as law and are saying because of that, it can't work. It's flawed logic, sorry.

This.
It's pretty clear that you think Sony is right and MS is wrong. By the way, SONY never said anything specific to Kinect, just one of their engineers that works specifically on tech demos for PS Move. Surely there is noooo bias at all in that!
Flawed logic is flawed logic.
